Nothing Can Rescue Me framed

I thought I would show you all this one framed up. I usually frame ALL my artwork in a thick black "plein aire" frame for consistency, but this one needed something different to pull off the illusion. Ideally I wanted the frame to match the box in the drawing itself.

One of my students, Michael Finley, agreed with me and graciously offered to make me the perfect frame! Didn't it turn out great? Now when you look at it, the deep but simple wood frame makes it feel like you are looking through one box to another.

Thanks so much Michael!
Sorry for the bad photo - talk about skewed! I still haven't gotten my photoshop 5 disk to work on my new computer. :(

Gorgeous. That left hand lower side just sings. The table on that side is what pulled me into the box. Great job.

Ah, clever gal. I really like this one and the frame really adds to it. Not always what you get when you frame something. :)
