Kaitlyn Final Incarnation - I believe

I decided to crop the right side so there is more emphasis on her face. At first I thought I was going to have the light lit hair the focal point, because the face was in shadow. Well it turns out a face in shadow still grabs attention - which must be part of our human psyche. So shifting the composition over and keeping more of the negative space where the face is looking further justifies the face as the new focal point.

This is beautiful Nicole.
I like the cropped off right arm much better than the one with the arm in. Good call!
Exciting color in the face, you're very brave!

What a beautiful portrait - I couldn't think what you could still do to improve it (also agreed with your 5 year old!), but the cropping has emphasised the face, and still brings you round to that glowing hair.

Um.. I kind of like the uncropped version, with a hand showing,I think,it gives more movement to the painting. Cropped version is more static, from my point of view. :-)
