Pitcher and Linen

Here's what I worked on today. It is 8 x 1o on Ampersand Pastelbord. I need to make a few finishing touches before framing but it is pretty much finished.

The fun of this one was the bottom portion with the dark space under the doily fading to darkness where the doily is lighter.

Tomorrow I need to get some errands done and try out all my assignments I will be doing on Friday at school - so I won't be working until next Tuesday. Sigh. BUT I will be eager when I start on Tuesday!

Summer is over it seems. Nicole is back in the studio! :-) I am sure you are loving it. Great piece. It has a sense of being larger than life. I was surprised to read it is 8 x 10. I wish you all the best at school in your new teaching gig!!

This is really wonderful. I love the entire doily area. I found your blog through Deborah Ross's Artists Paint Themselves blog. I absolutely love your self portrait!

Nicole these are both beautiful! Just wondering how you are finding the Prisma's now. I know you had pretty much stopped using that brand...also on this painting are you using Prisma's? Pam
