Cherry Pop!

Cherry Pop!
12" X 16"
Coloured Pencil on Pastelbord
Thanks Gayle for the name idea!
There is some distortion as usual from my wide angle lens, which is always really noticeable with the box ones.

I used my usual recipe for Pastelbord. I worked up 90% of the image using Derwent Coloursofts which cover the surface faster than other pencils and then, like icing on a cake, I finished the last 10% with Caran D'Ache Luminance pencils. Yum. That frosting is good. The Luminance pencils help me brighten the colors of the Coloursofts, blend a bit more, and basically burnish the surface.

Awesome Job Nicole. This one went really quick. I'm really gonna have to figure this ambersand board stuff out.
Looking forward to your next piece.

Nicole,
What a lovely painting. I've been here and ogled it several times now. You've done a wonderful job with the perspective...and the use of color, wow! You should be pleased with the end results. Well done indeed.
