Autumn Commission

the joy of still-life...

this is what I did today... set up autumn still-lifes and photographed them for a client's approval.
It looked fun in my viewfinder so I made it into a movie.
if it is not working above, you can see it on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ID07qenzX-w

I was hoping the finale wasn't going to be the cup and wee pumpkin tumbling off the table to the floor! Very entertaining and thanks for showing the work involved in creating a great still life. A great deal gets done, long before we pick up our pencils!

OR,an idea for a future finale Nicole -- yank that tablecloth right out from under, leaving the items intact and unmoved on the table! : )

Wonderful video Nicole! There are some great set-ups in there for future drawings I think. Ditto to what Teresa said - such a lot of work goes into setting up a good still life. Love Lynda's idea too ...hehe.

That is fun to watch... and familiar! Isn't it funny how those set-ups evolve, and go on and on... and on?! Thank goodness for digital cameras!
(Just love how that teensy pumpkin snuggles into the cup!)

Looks like a fall photo shoot I did just last week. Lol! Yep, takes a lot of time and work to figure it out. You're so good at composition though Nicole, it's amazing!! You've got a good eye!
