I'm busy working on my new kit. I've added a little - very little sneak peak at what it will look like. :-)
& then here's the promised pics from the sand sculpture competition! Here's the link to Greg Grady's sand sculptures - the man who is responsible for the festival in Hampton Beach NH. They were still working on the sculptures when we were there so we didn't see them finished. You can tell she just started putting the face on (or removing sand really) that mermaid.
I seriously think I enjoyed it all more than the kids. I'm just in awe at what they can do with a pile of dirt - especially since I never really excelled in the 3-D art department. I'll stick to colored pencils thank you very much!

This looks super!
Hi Ranjini! You're comment was just in time for me to take a break. Making kits takes some serious mental power - I don't need as much for drawing!

Oohhh, I love the kit! Beautiful lighting....
Thanks for the sand sculpture pics - I've linked to this post so they'll now get more exposure on my new weekly blog round-up here
The cherries in the cup are wonderful ... my cup overfloweth, I thought would make a good title.
These sand sculptures are incredibly detailed. It would have been a treat to have seen them being made.
Thanks Valerie and Kate!
Thanks for the lik Katherine!
